Braves' Jonny Venters feels at home this spring on Disney mounds — and ponds

Baseball null LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Jonny Venters is back in his old stomping grounds, armed with the equipment he once used to become a master at his chosen craft. And, no, I'm not talking about baseball. Or, maybe it’s the other way around. It’s hard to tell when you see the lefty reliever sit in front of his locker, grinning widely as he talks about his favorite free-time activity.  The lakes and ponds surrounding the ball fields are stocked with largemouth bass big enough to give any angler a run for their money. His lure of choice right now: a watermelon red Zoom super fluke. Just deadly. Oh, but don't try to visit Venters' secret spots. "They’ll kick you off," he said with a grin of an angler who knows the joy of bending the rules in search of a lunker, "but we just go to another one."I stopped by his locker Tuesday morning to chat with Venters about his amazing baseball comeback — more on that in a minute — but I'm easily distracted by a fishing conversation.
