Officers responded to Markakis' house after a neighbor noticed someone was in the residence and called police. When law enforcement got there, they noticed the broken window and the front door open.A neighbor was on the phone with Markakis when officers arrived and handed their phone to police so they could speak with him.At the time, Markakis and the rest of the Braves were in Philadelphia facing the Phillies.Per the report, the investigation still is ongoing and no one has been charged with the crime.Markakis, 35, recently re-signed with the Braves on a one-year deal worth $6 million, all of which is guaranteed.
