Dwight Howard injury update: Rockets center checked after collision


Dwight Howard left the Rockets' game in Sacramento on Tuesday night with an apparent leg injury.

Howard went down after colliding with his Kings counterpart, DeMarcus Cousins, during the first quarter.

The Rockets said Howard is likely to return.

No need to rush back, D12: The Rockets raced to a 50-19 lead early in the second quarter.

UPDATE: Howard did return to the game, and he finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds in a 129-103 victory. James Harden scored 43 points, 30 of them in the first half, to lead the Rockets.
